Life Values Inventory
The Life Values Inventory is a free online values clarification and personal development assessment designed to help individuals identify, prioritize, and better understand the values that guide their decisions, behaviors, and life goals. Through a multi-step reflective process, participants explore how their values influence different areas of life, including work and academics, relationships, and leisure or community involvement. The assessment measures 14 positive life values and provides personalized results, interpretation, and strategies for aligning actions with personal priorities.
The Life Values Inventory can help students gain greater self-awareness by identifying the values that contribute most to their motivation, fulfillment, resilience, and overall sense of purpose. Results can support career exploration, major selection, leadership development, and decision-making by helping students evaluate whether academic programs, employers, and career environments align with what matters most to them. The tool also encourages reflection on how values may evolve over time and provides practical strategies for intentionally expressing those values in daily life and future career planning.
